Meet the Railserve Management Team
Chris Hagge
President, On-Site Services
Chris has a long standing history with Marmon Holdings Inc. and its subsidiaries starting as Assistant Controller for Marmon Holdings Inc. in 2010. Shortly after Chris transitioned to Railserve where he served as Controller overseeing all financial operations for all divisions including 1,400+ employees across 80+ locations in the US, Canada and Mexico. Chris then moved to Railserve’s sister company, Union Tank Car Company (UTLX) in February of 2015 serving as Vice President of Finance and then shortly after as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration.
In 2019 Chris became President of the Rail On-Site Services group overseeing UTLX, Procor, and Railserve. In his role, Chris has been responsible for integrating UTLX, Procor, and Railserve individual services to provide a suite of rail services to assist customers in achieving operational excellence in their railyards.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and is a designated Chartered Professional Accountant.
Laurie Stiles
Vice President Sales & Marketing, On-Site Services
Laurie Stiles has been “working on the railroad” for more than 20 years. Laurie’s career started in Calgary, Canada, where she worked with a boutique Natural Gas Liquids marketing company as a rail scheduler. From there, Laurie went to work with Shell Canada on their Canadian Liquefied Petroleum Gas marketing and logistics team, where she was responsible for western rail operations. Laurie joined Targa Resources in 2000 and worked in progressively responsible roles throughout her tenure, culminating as Sr. Director NGL Commercial Transportation. Her extensive responsibilities included the overall strategic management of Targa’s North American transportation operations for Barge, Rail, and Truck. Laurie led a team of 165 logistics professionals and was accountable for commercial negotiation, business development, scheduling & planning, and overall operations.
Laurie joined Railserve in January 2021 to lead the sales & marketing team. She will be responsible for integrating the sales & marketing teams for Railserve, UTLX Field Services, and Procor Field Services to provide customers with a full package of onsite rail services that delivers operational excellence.
Now based in Houston, TX, Laurie holds a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Calgary and an MBA in International Business from the University of St. Thomas.
Charles (Charlie) E. Crosby
Vice President & General Manager, Switching Operations
Charlie joined Railserve in 2017 as Vice President and General Manager of Switching Operations and brings over 20+ years of diversified rail expertise. Prior to his time with Railserve, Charlie worked with RJ Corman Industrial Division working as General Manager of Switching Operations. Charlie has also worked with Norfolk Southern where he held various positions including Conductor, Engineer, Train Dispatcher, Chief Train Dispatcher, Senior Manager of Customer Service, and Engineering Department Director.
Charlie’s combination of hands-on field experience and management experience throughout the years has provided him with a strong operational background to help customers with their operations and switching needs. Charlie oversees all switching operations in the US and Mexico including the safety department and mechanical department.
Christopher Rogers
Vice President & General Manager, Material Handling & Logistics
In 2004, Chris joined Railserve as a Regional Leader responsible for Railserve’s west coast operations where his experience, attention to detail, communication skills and commitment to safety established him as a key leader early on in the Railserve team. In 2014, Chris was promoted to Director of Transloading and was responsible for overseeing all terminal operations. Shortly after in 2017, Chris was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Material Handling and Logistics for operations in the US and Mexico.
Prior to joining Railserve, Chris served in the United States Army for 21 years finishing his career as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer for Operations and Training with the 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Chris’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Sociology from Thomas Edison State College.
Jennifer Marvin
Vice President Operations & General Manager, Railserve Canada
Jennifer joined Railserve in 2021 as Vice President Operations and General Manager of Canada and brings over 20 years of multifaceted rail experience in Carload and Intermodal. Prior to joining Railserve, Jennifer worked at CN, where she held multiple positions, including Director of Revenue Management (Accounting) and General Manager of Service and Fleet (Network Operations). Jennifer’s supply chain experience includes switching, transloading, billing, customs, tariffs, procurement, fleet, and pipeline management. She is dedicated to driving value through operational excellence and partnering with our customers to ensure their success.
Jennifer holds a BA in Economics from the University of Waterloo, an MBA from Schulich School of Business (York University), and a Master Certificate in Project Management from York University. She has maintained her Project Management Professional (PMP) designation since 2000.
Joseph Moore
Controller, On-Site Services
Joe started his career with Marmon as a Senior Financial Analyst for UTLX in 2014, growing to Shop Accounting Manager before leaving UTLX to work as the Assistant Controller for the Marmon Rail Sector. From there, Joe served as Senior Corporate Finance Manager to Marmon Holdings, interacting with all sectors of the Marmon Group. Today he serves as the Controller for On-Site Rail Services, overseeing financial operations for more than 200 sites across the US and Canada. The experience and knowledge he gained working throughout Marmon and the Rail Group makes Joe an essential part of the Railserve leadership team.
Joe graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from DePaul University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Margaret Paauwe
Vice President, Human Resources, On-Site Services
In August of 2020, Margaret Paauwe joined Railserve as the VP of Human Resources. Margaret brings 20+ years of HR experience and expertise. Prior to joining Railserve, Margaret was a Director in HR Shared Services for Automatic Data Processing (ADP) and worked for Ryder Transportation, where she oversaw HR for one of the largest regions. Within both of these roles, she successfully steered execution of HR strategies and championed the transformation of what it means to be an HR business partner.
In her role with Railserve, Margaret is responsible for leading the HR department, with a focus on recruiting, talent acquisition, and employee relations strategies that reflect our organization’s culture and values. As a member of the executive team, Margaret contributes directly to long and short-term strategic objectives of the organization while maximizing organizational effectiveness. She oversees programs and initiatives that enhance the employee experience and collaborates with leaders across the organization.
Margaret was awarded her Master’s of Business Administration degree in International HR from the Keller Graduate School of Management. In addition, she holds multiple certifications, including Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Society of Human Resources Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and Human Capital Strategist (HCS). Lastly, she is a skilled executive coach and a certified facilitator in Diversity & Inclusion, high-impact training and engagement, DiSC, and Achieve Global leadership.
